- Second Trailer for Damien Chazelle's “First Man” starring Ryan Gosling
- Universal Pictures has released the second trailer for historic Apollo 11's film “First Man”.
The film is based on "First Man: The Life of Neil A. Armstrong", which is the official biography of the astronaut Neil Armstrong, who became the first man to walk on the Moon. He is known for his famous line when he landed on the Moon. "That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind."
The book was written by James R. Hansen and was published in 2005.
The film was directed by Damien Chazelle, starring Ryan Gosling, Jason Clarke, Claire Foy, Kyle Chandler, Corey Stoll, Ciarán Hinds, Christopher Abbott, Patrick Fugit, and Lukas Haas.
Originally, Clint Eastwood bought the film rights to First Man in 2003. But he could not finished up the film.
Universal Pictures and DreamWorks Pictures ultimately took up the First Man project in 2010.
The film is scheduled to be released on October 12, 2018.
According to the book, Neil Armstrong becomes fascinated by aircraft and flying, and he has earned his pilot's licence before he has qualifications to drive an automobile.
Even though, he was a celebrity, he served as a lecturer in engineering at the University of Cincinnati for interested in spreading his knowledge to younger generations. Also he had spent decades to advice for further spaceflight at NASA.
Neil Armstrong underwent bypass surgery on August 7, 2012. But he developed complications in the hospital and died on August 25, in Cincinnati, Ohio, at the age of 82, before any actual filming took place.
