  • Moonchild Sanelly and Sad Night Dynamite Premiere New Song “Demon” on BBC Radio 1

  • South African singer-songwriter Moonchild Sanelly teamed up with London-based alt-R&B duo Sad Night Dynamite to premiere a new song Demon” on BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds with Clara Amfo.

This marks the first collaboration between Moonchild Sanelly and Sad Night Dynamite.
The track was written by Two Inch Punch, Moonchild Sanelly, Archie Blagden and Josh Greacen. Produced by Sad Night Dynamite and Two Inch Punch.
Moonchild Sanelly told Clara Amfo about the song, “I literally was feeling this about somebody who was meddling in my relationship. And also, to my mind at the time was like, entertaining that rubbish, and I basically wrote that thought I was mad. I was just mad. So when I heard that beat, I was like, Okay, I got a vibe for this. I felt like, are you saying with your friends you can say this, your, your, your, your demon and I'm not dealing with this I was addressing this person, but at the same time I don't want to make time for them because they just disrespectful and entitled but also they've been allowed everyone that was opinionated, that I, including my partner who was letting them, so it was just like, it enters me like I'm not doing this.”
  • Josh Greacen of Sad Night Dynamite said, “As he was with Archie, the other guy in the band, I think he wrote it when he was about 17 He was just really angry 17 year old quite spotty he just sat in his room. He's in a weird state of mind and it just came out and then we had this big sitting around for literally years didn't really know what to do with it. So we sent it to a guy called Ben Ash, who's a good friend of ours to plant, and he sent it to me for so long, it's just been this little for Barbie, and then what Moonchild did is turn it into a song with so much energy, And it was just incredible. So then it was just a case of us filling in little gaps, and they have it.”
