Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Eric Dash released his first single of 2021 called “Stay Arm's Reach” on April 16, 2021.
The track was written by Eric Dash Friedman. Produced by: Eric Dash and Jack Joseph Puig.
He wrote the song in 2013 and recorded it originally with Jack Joseph Puig at Ocean Way Studios in 2014. But, this song has never been released.
In 2021, he decided to re-record and release it. He plans to release more some songs from his unreleased songs this year.
Eric Dash shared on social media, “I've never felt more like myself... My next single is called Stay Arm's Reach. I recorded it for the first time with Jack Joseph Puig in 2014 and I've been playing it live ever since. But it was never finished right and I struggled to finish it myself as a new producer. I didn't want to mess up the vibe which is so easy to do. It took me 3 years and many iterations, but it's finally coming. I never planned to release this as a single in this day-in-age of pop everything, but it's so me.”
He continued, “This is so bittersweet and there are so many more I have to make, I hope people enjoy a little bit of old injected into 2021.”- Eric Dash explained, “I have been trying to find myself as a producer because I didn't think I was good enough as an artist in a day where no one cares about a band in a room anymore. I felt without. So I was trying these hybrid songs and forgot who I am. I'm a guitar guy. I don't just do loops. I like arrangement and parts. This Unspecified project has taught me a lot about who I am, what I'm capable of, and where I want to focus in the future.”
