Your Future Ghost Releases Debut Song “We've Got Places”
American synth pop-rock duo Your Future Ghost, consisting of American singer-songwriter and actress Kate Voegele and New York-based producer Michael Grubbs, released their debut song “We've Got Places” on September 29, 2023.
The song will appear on their upcoming debut album, which is expected to be released in 2024.
The track was written by Michael Grubbs and Kate Voegele. Produced by Michael Grubbs.
The duo first performed the song at the internationally recognized Art Basel festival in Miami.
Kate Voegele said of the song, “'We've Got Places' is a single all about about that place where you find refuge from whatever noise is going on in the world - whether it's an actual place, a person, or something else, I think we all have those places where we can escape the chaos and be ourselves.”- Kate Voegele and Michael Grubbs met on the set, acting in the popular CW hit TV series One Tree Hill. The two began collaborating musically over zoom during the pandemic.
After months of studio sessions in Austin, Texas, Your Future Ghost was born.
Kate Voegele said, “our voices blended in a way that inspired us both to write in this unique hemisphere of a sound neither of us had ever really explored before in our solo projects.” -
