jetsetforevr Releases New Song “Stars” featuring Flowerboy
Toronto-based hip-hop singer-songwriter Stefan Calabrese, aka jetsetforevr released a new song “Stars” on April 25, 2023.
The song is the second single off of his upcoming EP “Am I Okay”, following “Sober” featuring Toronto-based artist Boy Pape.
This time, he teamed up with singer-songwriter Flowerboy on the track.
The track was written by Stefan Calabrese and Luka Kopunovic. Produced by Zepfire and Naoe.
jetsetforevr said of the song, “It was such a great opportunity working on this song with Flowerboy. 'Stars' was initially recorded during COVID in a Toronto studio that was offering relief sessions for people who didn't have access to studios at the time. The song was shelved without any clear release date in mind before getting revisited, reproduced and re-recorded. It's a great example of how two creative minds with separate musical inspirations can come together and make something special.”- He continued, “Every once in a while, there's a rare moment when you see the stars begin to align in your life. Oftentimes when we're working towards goals or getting into a relationship, the fruits of your labour seem so out of reach. But when everything becomes clear and the energies begin to align, you realise that you aren't as far off as you once thought. I had been looking up to the stars for so long that before I knew it, I was rising among them.”
He added, “I believe everyone has had a moment where they look up to the stars and feel inspired. The term Stars in this case is also used in the context of celebrities or other artists who I've been able to share the room with – people that I used to look up to in the music industry are becoming peers of mine, and the idea that these “stars” aren't that far away anymore is a reality that is addressed in the song.” -
