POLUN Releases New Song “Takes Me Over” featuring Anthony Arthur
Toronto-based singer-songwriter POLUN released a new song “Takes Me Over” on February 17, 2023.
This time, he teamed up with Canadian singer-songwriter Anthony Arthur on the track.
The song is the third single off of his up coming debut EP “Trillium”, which is expected to be released in 2023.
It was written by POLUN, Jocelyn Alice, and Anthony Arthur, and produced by TEE.
The accompanying animated music video was created by Tiny Loft Studios.
POLUN said of the song, “'Takes Me Over,' is a song that captures the inexplicable feelings of being spellbound to love. It's a dark, energetic dance-pop tune contrasted with an emotionally beautiful yet powerful vocal performance by my good friend and long-time collaborator Anthony Arthur.”- He continued, “This song ultimately reflects on the all-consuming emotions that take over with the realization that against better judgment, you've given everything to someone whose heart isn't in it anymore.”
He added, “This is the third single from my upcoming debut EP, Trillium. 'Takes Me Over' has a special place in my heart, as it was one of the first songs I made with Anthony (co-written with Jocelyn Alice) and it's the longest time I've ever spent working on a song (six years on and off)!”
POLUN is known as songwriter and producer under name Terence “TEE” Lam, who co-wrote Drake and Rihanna's 2016 “Too Good”, Alessia Cara's 2015 “Here” and Kaskade's and Meghan Trainor's 2019 “With You”. -
