Måneskin Releases New Album “RUSH!”: Streaming
Italian rock band Måneskin, consisting of Damiano David (vocals), Victoria De Angelis (bass), Thomas Raggi (guitar) and Ethan Torchio (drums), released their third studio album “RUSH!” on January 20, 2023 via Epic Records.
The album comprises 17-track, including fourteen songs in English and three in Italian, featuring guest appearance from American guitarist Tom Morello.
The band frontman Damiano David told Entertainment Weekly about English and Italian, “Because we feel like the Italian music part is such a strong part of us and our culture and our background. We didn't want the Italian music to be here and there every once in a while in the tracklist. We wanted to create a block that represents the foundation everything is built around.”
The band recorded around 50 songs for the album in Los Angeles, Italy, and Tokyo. In part, they recorded in Los Angeles with producer Max Martin.
Produced by Captain Cuts, Fabrizio Ferraguzzo, LostBoy, MåneskinMattman & Robin, Max Martin, Rami Yacoub and Sly.
Victoria De Angelis told Apple Music about the album, “There's a lot of variety compared to our previous records.”
Damiano David added, “Instead of starting from the center and trying to [spin] out from it, we started from four different places, which are our four individualities.”
Victoria De Angelis continued, “It's better if we embrace our differences—even if someone has a different taste in a direction I might not be the first fan of. Same goes for them. It's better to embrace all our differences and give space to everyone to express themselves and be happy and be represented by the record. That's why we had to really open our minds and challenge our boundaries: Some things we do, we would never have done without each other.”
The sixth track “Gasoline” was written in support of Ukraine after the 2022 Russian invasion.
Also ,they received their first Grammy nomination in the Best New Artist category at the 2023 Grammy Awards.
