Beren Olivia Releases New Song “So Emotional”
London-based singer-songwriter Beren Olivia released a new song “So Emotional” on March 25, 2022.
The song is her first single since the 2021 EP “Early Hours of the AM”.
Th track received its first play during BBC Radio 1's Future Artists with Jack Saunders.
It was written by Beren McGarry, Dan Book and Dylan William.
Beren Olivia said of the song, “Sometimes you're too close to a situation to see it clearly and really understand it. That clarity will always find its way to you one way or another, it just might not be in the way you expect. That's what happened to me during a conversation with my brother. He could see things that I couldn't and at the time I was in denial about it, and that's where the inspiration for 'So Emotional' came from.”- She told Jack Saunders, “It was just different than the moment I stepped into that session. I was working with my all time faves Dylan William and Dan Book, both in LA and I took my diary into the session, which is a whole other level for me because it's like that next level of vulnerability when you take your diary into a session, and all the lyrics in the song is just me reading out what I wrote in my diary and kind of singing it and that's what this song is. This song and all of the songs to follow. It's not just me trying to write a really cool song it's me really writing with honesty and clarity and also trying to make a really cool song.”
