American singer-songwriter Charlie Puth explained how he wrote “Attention” and his general process for his upcoming LP “Voice Notes” in an interview with Rolling Stone.
Charlie Puth said, “I record instruments, I record shakers and pianos on here and I put them directly into the session.’ Attention’ was the first song for the album, and it started out as this really sad, depressing piano ballad – as most of my songs start out as – and then they become groovy, fun pop songs."
He called about iPhone as his “number-one songwriting tool.”

“Attention” was released on April 21, 2017, written by Charlie Puth. The song's music video was released on April 24, directed by Emil Nava.
The song is currently sitting at #11 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
Although no release date has been announced yet for “Voice Notes”, the album is expected to come sometime this fall.-
