SZA & Justin Timberlake Premiere New Song “The Other Side” from DreamWorks Animation Film “Trolls World Tour” Soundtrack
American singer-songwriters SZA and Justin Timberlake collaborated to release a new song “The Other Side” from an upcoming DreamWorks animated film “Trolls World Tour” soundtrack.
It was written by Sarah Aarons, Ludwig Göransson, Max Martin, Justin Timberlake and SZA. The accompanying music video was directed by Daniel Russell.
“I was so thrilled to be invited to participate in this project with Justin,” SZA said in a statement. “The creative process of working with him and the team was filled with such excitement. It’s an energy you can feel in both the song and music video. I can’t wait for people to check it out.”
Justin Timberlake added, “It has been such a fun process writing and executive producing for this project. Being able to bring together different creatives from various disciplines and genres has been the most rewarding part. In addition to SZA and Justin Timberlake, the soundtrack features Chris Stapleton, Kelly Clarkson, Anderson .Paak, Mary J. Blige, George Clinton, and Timberlake’s costar Anna Kendrick.
Also, Justin Timberlake would be an executive producer for the soundtrack once again.
“Trolls World Tour” is a sequel to the 2016 film “Trolls”, directed by Walt Dohrn. The film features Anna Kendrick, Justin Timberlake, James Corden, Ozzy Osbourne, Rachel Bloom, Anderson Paak, George Clinton, Mary J. Blige, Kelly Clarkson, Sam Rockwell, Ron Funches, Gwen Stefani, Icona Pop, Kunal Nayyar, Jamie Dornan, J Balvin and Kenan Thompson.
