American country music singer-songwriter Carrie Underwood and country music duo Dan + Shay joined in an upcoming musical film “Dear Evan Hansen” soundtrack.
Both artists released a new song “Only Us” from the soundtrack on September 3, 2021.
Dan + Shay shared on social media, “we are Carrie Underwood superfans and it has always been a dream to collaborate with her. we are also Dear Evan Hansen superfans and the fact that we got to record “only us” for the Dear Evan Hansen soundtrack is quite possibly the coolest thing that's ever happened to us.”
The film was directed by Stephen Chbosky, starring Ben Platt, Kaitlyn Dever, Amandla Stenberg, Nik Dodani, Colton Ryan, Danny Pino, Julianne Moore and Amy Adams.
The film is scheduled to have its world premiere at the 2021 Toronto International Film Festival on September 9, 2021 as its Opening Night Gala Presentation. Followed by, it will be release in theaters on September 24, 2021.
In addition to Carrie Underwood and Dan + Shay, the soundtrack features Sza, Sam Smith, Summer Walker, FINNEAS and Tori Kelly.
