Madison Beer Announces Debut Album “Life Support”, Releases New Song “BOYSHIT”
American singer-songwriter Madison Beer announced her upcoming debut album “Life Support” will be released on February 26, 2021 via Epic Records.
Madison Beer shared, “With my album, I made a promise to myself that this is going to be my time to express honestly and truthfully how I've been feeling. I could finally tell my story the way I wanted to tell it and touch on things like medications that are harmful for young adults that I've been put on, and real shit I've never been able to talk about.”
She continued, “I was going through a really tough time mentally and it was the only thing giving me hope... It was literally like life support for me.”
From the album, she unveiled a new song “BOYSHIT” on December 11th. It is the fourth single off, following “Good in Goodbye”, “Selfish” and “Baby”.
The track was written by UPSAHL, Pete Nappi, Madison Beer and Big Taste. Produced by Pete Nappi and Big Taste.
“[It's] one of the last songs I recorded for my album, and it was just kind of a build up after this really long year,” she said in a press release. “With the play on 'bullshit' I figured it was the perfect time to use the age old saying about an immature or disrespectful boyfriend 'he's not a man, he's a boy,' but it then flourished into more. This isn't as simple as a childish man, it's deeper than that. Anyone can behave in a 'BOYSHIT' manner… this song is meant to uplift and inspire people of all genders.”- source : Spotify
