Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Tinashe Releases New Album “333”: Streaming
American singer-songwriter Tinashe released her fifth studio album “333” on August 6, 2021 via her own label Tinashe Music. It is her first album in two years and is the second album as an independent artist.
The album comprises of 16-track, featuring guest appearances from Jeremih, Kaash Paige, ABSOLUTELY, Wax Motif, Buddy, and Tinashe's brothers Kudzai and Quiet Child.
“I've always been inspired by James Blake and his use of silence, so I wanted to incorporate that on this project,” Tinashe told Apple Music's Zane Lowe. “I think that song is a perfect example of— to me, it doesn't fit like a particular genre at all. That's why I love it, is because it's just a sonic experience.”
She continued, “I'm really proud of myself with this project because I just feel like I took all of the things that I learned about what I didn't want to do, about how I didn't want to move, about like what doesn't feel right. It's really helped me develop just a much more centered idea of what my art and my project and my purpose is.”- p2_UTwxGqeQ
Tinashe shared on social media, “Today I want to take a second to thank everyone who has helped me along this journey to T9. (First of all the fact this is my 9th project is bananas) Being an independent artist has its challenges and at times makes you question your greater purpose in the music industry— I definitely had a different idea of what my career would look like when I was a kid. But here I am, 10 years into it, knowing I am on the right track, finally feeling the freedom to trulyyy be myself and the confidence to become a better and more passionate person, songwriter, artist, and woman.
My fans have held me down through highs and lows and for that I am eternally grateful.
My engineer spent countless hours days and nights quarantining in this home studio with me so we could stay inspired through the lockdown and make this special project 333.”-
She continued, “My team has been so wonderful in trusting my (sometimes weird) vision and giving me the support I needed.
The creative collaborators on this project are some of the most open minded, inspired, and interesting people I've ever had the pleasure of working with.
I keep my already small circle even smaller now after the pandemic began, and I'm thankful for my family who are always there to remind me that I already have everything I need ❤️
My heart is full knowing in just a few days the world will hear what we've been working so hard on — every time I share a new project it's like a little piece of me is gone , like a seed was plucked out of my hair that will now grow into something else more beautiful, a part of me always, but expansive and new.
