JJ Wilde Releases New Song “State of Mind”
Canadian alt-rock singer-songwriter JJ Wilde debuted with her first song “Wired” back in February.
On May 17th, she released her second single “State of Mind”.
Both songs will appear on her upcoming debut EP "Wilde Eyes and Steady Hands", which is set to be released on June 21st.
She worked with a producer Frederik Thaae for the EP and completed it in just eight days.
JJ Wilde told c-heads magazine in an interview. “It was everything I had worked on before, and all my solo stuff – all the songs I had written, full songs, half songs, ideas – it’s like all of that was supposed to be a stepping stone for this. Cause as soon as I went into the studio with Frederik Thaae who is the producer on the EP, we holed up in his studio for like a week. We wrote everything, and did everything,” she said. “What I wanted to do with this record was keep it as organic as possible. I come from more folk roots, so it’s important to me to keep it with real instruments, real sounds, and taking time to get those tones through old amps.”- JJ Wilde embarks the US Tour along with The Glorious Sons and The Struts in July and August. The tour kicks off at Palace Theatre in St Paul on July 13th.
