DATSUNN Releases New Song “End of the Day”
Canadian singer-songwriter and producer DATSUNN released a new song “End of the Day” on February 17, 2023.
He sampled from Toronto producer The Kount on the track.
The track was written by Datsunn and Jacob Sigman. Produced by Datsunn.
DATSUNN said of the song, “I wouldn’t have made this song if it weren’t for my YouTube series, Behind the Pads. 'End of the Day' started from a sample I found by The Kount. I instantly felt inspired by the chords and had to write to it immediately.”
He continued, “I kept the production on this hypnotic track as stripped back and simple as possible because that sample had elements that I already loved. It’s like a meal, you don’t want to over season or use too much sauce, you know?”
He added, “'All these things we need, like money, fame and greed. Do they mean anything? At the end of the day.' I connect with this line on so many levels. The world, especially on social media, revolves around the things we have, or don’t have, and we’re always made to feel like we need more.
