At 1980 Releases New Album “Late Night Calls”: Streaming
Spanish-British synth-pop duo At 1980, consisting of Adrián Quesada Michelena and Josh Dally, released their sophomore album “Late Night Calls” along with a new music video for “California Nights” via NewRetroWave on August 6, 2021.
The album comprises of 11-track, which features '80s pop-rock sound vibe.
The pair are well-ingrained in the wave scene, having had both Timecop 1983 and Dana Jean Phoenix feature in their work.
The duo said of the album, “This album has been like writing a diary and has been a very cathartic experience. It can sometimes be hard to say how you feel to loved ones in the heat of the moment so writing a song is a second chance to say how it should have been said the first time. The songs tell the story of the struggles and victories that we have gone through over these last few crazy months.”
The music video was filmed at Brighton Electric Studios back in May and was directed by Glashier.
The duo said, “This live version was recorded at Brighton Electric Studios in May 2021. We were very lucky to have James Ahway and Jackson Ellis Leach join us on bass and drums respectively. We hope you enjoy this full band version!”- bGIy6AYVL-w
