Grace Davies Releases Cover of Goo Goo Dolls' “iris”
British singer-songwriter and The X Factor runner-up Grace Davies released a cover of Goo Goo Dolls' “iris” on March 26, 2021.
The original version of the song was released by American alt-rock band Goo Goo Dolls from their sixth studio album “Dizzy Up the Girl” in 1998.
Originally written by John Rzeznik for the soundtrack of the 1998 film “City of Angels”, which was directed by Brad Silberling and starring Nicolas Cage and Meg Ryan. The song reached No. 9 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
Grace Davies's version is piano ballad. It follows up “i met a boy online”, which was released back in February.
