Gentleman's Dub Club Releases New Song “High Hopes” featuring Eva Lazarus
London-based dub band Gentleman's Dub Club has released a new song “High Hopes” featuring British singer-songwriter Eva Lazarus, along with a live music video.
The song is the second single off of their upcoming album “On A Mission”, which is set to be released on June 9, 2023.
It was written by Eva Lazarus, Bradford Ellis, Jonathan Scratchley, Toby Davies and Luke Allwood. Produced by Bradford Ellis.
The accompanying video was directed by Reel Soundz
“’High Hopes’ came out of a bunch of writing sessions we did with the genius Brad Baloo prior to starting the LP sessions,” Gentleman's Dub Club bassist Toby Davies said of the song. “We wanted to make something heavy but uplifting; something we could play in the club and at festivals. Once we’d got the main hook written, we realized it would be a great opportunity to have Johnny play off a female vocalist, and the first name that came to mind was Eva Lazarus: she’s an unbelievable singer and we thought had the perfect delivery to jump on the song. The way Johnny and Eva lock in and bounce off each other on the record is so satisfying, and already, after one tour with it in the set, when we perform it live the place goes absolutely bonkers!”
The new album comprises 10-track, featuring guest appearances from Hollie Cook, Gardna, Josh Skints, Sara Lugo and Eva Lazarus.- source : Apple Music
