“I wrote this the week Brexit happened, from the perspective of someone who voted Leave and regretted it. I felt they were betrayed by the campaign and the lack of information. I wanted to show empathy for what that might feel like. I’ve been a criminal, I made a mistake, Believed in the fictional, then let everything slip away.”- The new album contains 15-track, featuring guest appearances from Samuel L. Jackson, John Legend, Owen Jones Baby N'Sola, Janelle Martin and Naomi Miller.
“The Architect” is her first album in three years since “A Perfect Contradiction” and is set to be released on November 17th.

She announced the album;
"The Architect is a social observation record. I was adamant that I wouldn’t write about love. I wanted to look outside of myself. I’m coming at politics from the perspective of the common man or woman, observing why people are suffering. Each song on the record is about a different pocket of the socio-political world that I’ve been delving into. I wanted to write something more modern. On previous albums I’ve been more concerned with the past, but now I’m looking forward because of motherhood and wanting to change things for a better future. It’s a marriage of old and new." -
