Lizzo Returns With for New Song “Rumors” featuring Cardi B
American rapper Lizzo returned with a new song “Rumors” along with a music video on August 13, 2021.
It is her first single since her third studio album “Cuz I Love You”, which was released in last April.
This time she teamed up with American rapper Cardi B for the track.
This marks the first collaboration between Lizzo and Cardi B.
The track was written by Lizzo and Cardi, and produced by Ricky Reed. The video was directed by Tanu Muino.
Lizzo told Apple Music's Zane Lowe about her rise to fame and working with powerful female rappers, “It was there was no one else for it there was literally no one else like from the day ink dried on her Atlantic contract I said please get me on song with Cardi B. She's just funny, I like funny people and she can rap, seriously be rapping. Women have been unable to rise to their seat in power until now, this is our time.”
Cardi B said of the song, “This is a great record, everybody. It's such a beautiful great record. And it's such a fun vibe. I really feel this is what we needed, we like need a good vibes.
