Robyn Covers Wham!’s “Last Christmas” on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge
Swedish singer-songwriter Robyn appeared on the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge, where she performed her latest song “Honey” and Wham!’s “Last Christmas”.
“Honey” is included on her eighth studio album of the same name, which is her first album in eight years.
The song was featured in the sixth episode of the final season of "Girls" titled “Full Disclosure”.
She wrote about the song on Instagram, "After Lena used Dancing On My Own in the first season of Girls, in the most amazing way, i was so happy she asked me if she could put another of my songs in the series. I sent her some music im working on and she picked Honey. It wasnt ready to be released, but i finished this version for her and Girls."
“Last Christmas” was released by English pop duo Wham! in 1984, on a double A-side with "Everything She Wants".
Robyn told host Clara Amfo, "Oh my god, he [George Michael]'s my hero."
She will embark on European and North American Tour in February 2019. The tour kicks off at Stavanger konserthus in Stavanger, Norway on February 5th.
