Purple Disco Machine Releases New Song “Opposite of Crazy” featuring Bloom Twins from New Album “Exotica”
- German DJ Purple Disco Machine released his sophomore album “Exotica” for the first time in four years on October 15, 2021.
The album comprises of 14-track, featuring guest appearances from Sahara Beck, Moss Kena, The Knocks, Eyelar, Bloom Twins, Francesca Lombardo, Fiorious, House Gospel Choir and Ed Mac.
Purple Disco Machine told Repeat Replay about the album, “There is definitely a theme, as all the tracks on are inspired by my own twist on the ‘80s music that inspired me growing up. From electro funk , disco, Italo disco , club soul, house and pop, the álbum is divided between songs and my typical club tracks so that the two sides of Purple Disco Machine are represented.”
From the album, he dropped a new song “Opposite of Crazy”.
He teamed up with London-based pop music twin sisters duo Bloom Twins on the track.
Both artists reacorded the song during the COVID-19 pandemic.
It's the coolest blend of alt dark synth pop, with quirky and boisterous squalls of Prince-esque guitar throughout.
Bloom Twins said of the song, “Opposite of crazy was a crazy experience from the very start. During the pandemic we got in touch with Elderbrook whom we admired for a very long time. We ended up writing a little demo and shared it with Purple Disco Machine who not only completed the work but elevated it with the power of all that we love about the 80s. Pump it up in your car to work, in your earphones on the train or even on your boombox and everything will seem less crazy or just the right crazy.”
