Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Ragnar Ægir Releases New Song “I'm At Home”
Germany-based Icelandic singer-songwriter Ragnar Fjölnisson, aka Ragnar Ægir released a new song “I'm At Home” on JUly 8, 2021.
The song is the third single off of his upcoming debut EP of the same name, following “The Surface” and “Not Too Loud”.
It was written by Ragnar Fjölnisson and co-produced by Philipp Kraetzer.
He has already shot the music video for the song directed by Ása Steinars, which will be premiered soon.
The track narrates the songwriter's feeling of being homesick, particularly during the pandemic when travelling was forbidden.
It is an homage to his Icelandic heritage and embracing that liberating feeling of coming home after long periods overseas.
Ragnar Ægir said of the song, “Landing at an airport and knowing you have a 5-hour drive to get home isn't everyone's idea of fun. But getting to see all these amazing places on the drive back through Iceland is an incredibly refreshing feeling, and gives me and my family a newfound energy and inspiration”.
