London-based alt-rock band Wolf Alice premiered a new song “Smile” with an accompanying music video on April 20, 2021
The song is the second single off of their upcoming third studio album “Blue Weekend”, following “The Last Man on Earth”.
It was written by Joff Oddie, Joel Amey, Theo Ellis and Ellie Rowsell. Produced by Markus Dravs.
The video was directed by Jordan Hemingway, who also directed the video for previous song.
“This is one of the songs we wrote thinking that we would play it live,” frontwoman Ellie Rowsell said of the song. “I miss that feeling of singing on stage. It's like screaming into a pillow or something — you can get away with being more nasty. There's a whole other part of me missing.”
The new album is set to be released on June 11, 2021 via Dirty Hit/RCA Records.- source : Spotify
