Colombian singer-songwriter VALE has released a new song “without you” with an accompanying music video directed by Cristina Bottia.
The song is her fourth single of 2020, following “be somebody”, “heart” and “one day”.
VALE shared on social media, “never thought i'd be releasing music at all, but here we are! 4 songs in. and im so so thankful for all the positive energy and love everyone has been showing me and my music, it means the entire world to me.”
She created the video with her best friend, “the video is also so important to me since my best friend and i made it together (and we had too much fun doing it)”.
She wrote the song with HeaVy MeLLoW and Mark Johns. VALE said of the song, “Everyone has that one person that makes every situation or moment ten times better. The song is kind of a way of me telling that person, 'hey, I really like having you around, and you just make everything seem so much better for me, so please stay with me'.”
She continued, “I want people to be able to connect to this song in any way, whether it makes the listener think about their best friend, their brother or sister, mom or dad, cousins, girlfriend or boyfriend, a crush, literally anyone. It would feel so cool to see someone tell me like, 'I love your song, it makes me think of my best friend' and then see a different person say 'it made me think of my crush'.
