Canadian singer-songwriter Tate McRae teamed up with Iraqi-Canadian rapper Ali Gatie to release a new song “lie to me”.
The accompanying music video was directed by Glenn Michael and Christo.
Both artists wrote the song via FaceTime during quarantine. “Working with Ali was a really amazing experience,” Ali Gatie said. “I've always loved his music so I'm super stoked to finally release this collaboration. We wrote the whole thing over FaceTime, in quarantine!! It was crazy.”
Tate McRae will make her late night television debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on October 21st. She will perform her current single “you broke me first” which currently has nearly 300 million streams.
Meanwhile, Ali Gatie released his latest single “Welcome Back” last month, along with Canadian singer-songwriter Alessia Cara. The official video for the song has amassed over 6 million views on YouTube, so far.- source : bello
