The Rolling Stones Announces New Album “Foreign Tongues”, Share Two New Songs “In The Stars” & “Rough And Twisted”

British rock band The Rolling Stones, consisting of Mick Jagger (vocals), Keith Richards (guitar) and Ronnie Wood (guitar), has announced their upcoming twenty-fifth studio album “Foreign Tongues” will be released on July 10, 2026 via Polydor Records.
The album comprises 14 tracks, which the band recorded with producer Andrew Watt at Metropolis Studios in London, alongside bassist Darryl Jones, keyboardist Matt Clifford, and drummer Steve Jordan.
Also, the record features an appearance by the late Charlie Watts, which was recorded during one of his last sessions before he died in 2021.
In addition, it features guest appearances from Steve Winwood, Paul McCartney, The Cure's Robert Smith, and Red Hot Chili Peppers' Chad Smith.
From the album, the band released two new songs “In The Stars” and “Rough And Twisted” on May 5, 2026.
Both songs were written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards.
On “In The Stars” features Benmont Tench on Organ. On “Rough And Twisted” features James King on tenor saxophone.
The band previously released “Rough And Twisted” under the name The Cockroaches as a white-label promo 12-inch last month.- Mick Jagger said of the album, “I love doing these recording sessions in London at Metropolis. It was a very intense few weeks recording Foreign Tongues. We had 14 great tracks, and we went as fast as we could. I like the room there as it's not too big so you can feel the passion in the room from everyone.”
Keith Richards said, “The Foreign Tongues album has a continuity from Hackney Diamonds, and it was great to be working in London again, and to have that London vibe around us. It was a month of concentrated punch. To me, it's all about the enjoyment of it. I'm blessed to be able to do this and long may it last.”
Ronnie Wood said, “The atmosphere in the room was so creative, and the whole band was on top form throughout the whole process. Very often we nailed it on the first take. I hope everyone loves it.” -
The album cover artwork was created by Nathaniel Mary Quinn.
Nathaniel Mary Quinn said, “Creating the album cover for the Rolling Stones is an artistic honour - a dialogue with one of the most enduring forces in cultural history.” - source : Apple Music
