Rick Astley Drops New Music Video for “Raindrops”
British singer-songwriter Rick Astley dropped a new music video for “Raindrops” on May 2, 2026.
The song received its first play during BBC Radio 2 with Gary Davies.
It was released on April 10, 2026, ahead of his UK and Ireland headline arena tour.
The track was written by Rick Astley and produced by his long-term friend Giles Martin.
This time, he recorded the track with a full band, having previously performed every instrument himself. It is also his first track that he hasn’t produced himself in over a decade.
The track features Joe Wyatt on guitar, Giles Martin on keyboards, Mark Pusey on drums, Adam Hastings on guitar, Adam Double on bass, and Robbie McIntosh on guitar.- Rick Astley said of the song, “‘Raindrops’ is about letting the person you love the most down. They’ve seen your worst and you want to know is this the end, you can feel the ‘Raindrops’ falling and know the pain you’ve caused but you’re asking for one more chance. Let the healing begin and let’s try again. As I am about to go out on an arena tour I was listening to my new songs wondering what would sound best in that environment and ‘Raindrops’ is it! I hope you like it.”
