  • Orange Oak Announces Debut EP “almost, I thought to myself”, Shares New Song “well, well, well”

  • Swedish indie folk duo Orange Oak, consisting of Filippa Frisell and Erik Olsson, has announced their upcoming debut EP “almost, I thought to myself” will be released on September 11, 2026 via Nettwerk.

The EP comprises 7 tracks, produced by Erik Olsson.
The duo said of the EP, “'almost, I thought to myself' is a collection of songs about fragile moments that could've changed everything, but didn't.”
Alongside the announcement, that duo unveiled a new song “well, well, well” on May 1, 2026.
The song is the third single off of the EP, following “garden green eyes” and “love isn't everything”.
“well, well, well” is a gorgeously sparse meditation on hidden pain.
It was written by Erik Olsson and Filippa Frisell. The track features Signe Levin on violin.
  • The duo said of the song, “'well, well, well' was born out of a place we wouldn't wish upon anyone. It's a reflection on all the pain and anger we stow away. It's about the instinct to quantify feelings; to explain why you've felt a certain way without letting people see quite the whole picture. Who's to say they would understand it, anyway?”

They added, “This song means a lot to us, and the timing feels completely right, summer around the corner bringing all things to light. It's honest and straightforward. It's a reflection on all the pain and anger we stow away - trying to explain unexplainable things. Fighting for the courage to begin again.”
