Seven Crowns Announces New Album “Haunted Head”, Shares New Song “Side Effects”
Bath-based punk band Seven Crowns has announced their upcoming fourth studio album “Haunted Head” will be released on May 29, 2026 to limited edition vinyl via Pale Wizard Records.
Alongside the announcement, the band unveiled a new song “Side Effects” along with a music video on May 1, 2026.
The song is the second and final pre-release single, following “Haunted Head”.
It was written by Seven Crowns and produced by Josh Gallop.
The music video was directed by Kieran Gallop.
The band said of the song, “Unless you are a sociopath, grief is life's great leveller. Irrespective of age, gender, politics, finances, religion - the enormity of grief brings every single one of us to the same level. There is no get-out-clause.”- The album comprises 6 tracks, recored with producer Josh Gallop at Stage 2 Studios in Bath.
Whilst the album channels the band's grief, rather than dwelling on their loved ones passing, the album serves as a vessel to celebrate the relationships they shared with them.
The band said of the album, “'Haunted Head' is heavy as fuck psychedelic punk. The album's six songs represent a four year period when an alarming number of our family and friends died. This record is not lamenting their passing, but rather celebrates the fact that we had the incredible good luck to have shared our lives with them in the first place. Haunted Head is a love letter to those we have lost.” -
