Bishop Briggs Releases New Song “Blood From A Stone”
Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Bishop Briggs released a brand new song “Blood From A Stone” on May 1, 2026.
The song is the first single of 2026 and also her first new music since the 2025 EP “When It's Halloween”.
Bishop Briggs wrote the song with American singer-songwriter K.Flay, alongside producer Jason Suwito.
Recently, K.Flay appeared on Bishop Briggs' show “applejuicequee” as a guest artist.
The accompanying music visualizer was directed by Fernanda Vega.
Bishop Briggs said of the song, “I can't fully express the disorienting feeling when you realize a relationship in your life has permeated every aspect of your being today. In some ways, it can be nourishing, motivating, and empowering. However, often, even if it's not a current relationship, its impact can be felt years later. As I sat down to write 'Blood From A Stone' with my dear friend K.Flay, an unopened wound surfaced. While I'm grateful to acknowledge the aching and tearing of my spirit within the song's lyrics, I'm also eager to set it free, share it with you, and see what it allows you to release in your own world as well.”- She added, “When I first met K.Flay it was over 10 years ago through the alternative music festival scene. At the time, she was either booked to play or I was…the rest of the artists on the lineup were men. We decided we had to meet and we did. We were writing a song when we found ourselves in the hallway outside the session divulging every personal detail we could discuss. From there, we continued to talk and talk and talk. To know Kristine is to love her and I'm really grateful I got to share just a glimpse of the amazing person I get to witness every time we are together.”
