  • Meghan Trainor Releases New Album “Toy With Me”

  • American singer-songwriter Meghan Trainor released her seventh studio album “Toy With Me” on April 24, 2026 via Epic Records.

It marks her first album since the 2024 album “Timeless”.
The album comprises 16 tracks (deluxe edition 20 tracks), featuring guest appearances from her sons Barry Trainor and Riley Trainor. Produced by Adam Yaron, ellis, Gabe Yaron, Grant, Justin Trainor, Mark Schick, Mike Sabath and Steve Mac.

Meghan Trainor said of the album, “Toy With Me feels like the most honest and fearless I've ever been - it's all about self-confidence, freedom and learning how to meet people where they are at. I'm so excited to finally be able to share 'Toy With Me' with the world. I really poured my heart into this music and I'm unbelievably proud of the end result. These songs have already helped me so much, and I hope they can do the same for you. Enjoy!!!”
  • The album was released after the birth of her third child. However, she got a lot of heat for using a surrogate mother online.

Meghan Trainor told Billboard about the album title, “All my albums start with 'T' for Trainor to represent family first. So I kind of trapped myself there. And then I had these kids and we play with toys all day long and I was like, 'I want my music to take me back to childhood when everything was easier and better and lighter.' When I want people to pick up the album and look at it and say, 'All is well. I'm a child again. I'm safe. I'm OK. I can dance and be happy here. I can safely cry here.' This was around the time when I was getting a lot of heat online and it was like, 'OK, toy with me, mess with me. That's fine. I can handle it.”

  • Meghan Trainor explained some tracks for the album.

    “Get In Girl”
“This song is for everyone who finally realized they deserve more. Sometimes you just need a song that reminds you that love shouldn't feel exhausting, and that leaving is okay and might be the most powerful thing you can do.”

    “Still Don't Care”
“Still Don't Care really sets the tone for this whole Toy With Me era - it's bold, fun, a little cheeky, and full of confidence. This song came from a place of growth for me; I'm learning to care less about perfection and more about what actually makes me happy. I'm learning to shake off negativity, choosing joy, and living life my way - because at this point in my life and career, I'm ready to be done worrying about pleasing everyone. Still Don't Care is my reminder to myself - and to anyone who's ever felt judged.”

    “Pink Cadillac”
“There's not a lot of time for sexiness when you have [kids that are] 5, 2 and a newborn. And I think anyone with a kid under 5 knows what I'm talking about in marriage. So it is rare. And I write a lot of these hot songs… I wish I felt this sexy all the time, but I know Daryl and I will have our time when the kids are older, you know? But it's like a fantasy of mine. It's like a dream of mine someday to feel… that hot again with my husband, and some nights I do. I don't want to say once a month, but a couple times a month.”

“Little One” featuring Barry Trainor & Riley Trainor
“The only features I have right now in this moment are my kids, Riley and Barry, because I wrote them a beautiful song, the only, like, slower song. It's called 'Little One' and it's about how I wish they could stay little forever, when I play it, Riley goes, 'Oh, this is my song. Play my song!' It's literally my lullaby for them. And at the end of the song they say, 'I love you, Mama,' and it's just the cutest thing ever. And that's when everyone's crying.”

    “Shimmer” via 102.7KIISFM
“Have you heard 'Shimmer?' I need to play you 'Shimmer.' You're going to love it so much. It is my club banger. It's my pop-dance huge track. It's like 'Me Too.' It's like, 'If I was you, I'd wanna be me—' it's her cooler, hotter, older sister, and she's like, 'I don't sweat, nah, I shimmer.' They're related ['Shimmer' and 'Hate It Here' are 'cousins']. They're all in the same family.
I trained for months. [The music video is] so cute. I mean, like I write these songs, and then I go, 'Uh-oh, how am I going to perform this?' 'cause I come from songwriting world, so there's, like, no rules. It's like, 'Anyone will cut it and sing it later.' So then I wrote this, I was like, 'This is my dream song to dance to,' and then I was like, 'Uh-oh. I have to dance to this.' So I started getting in rehearsals with an amazing dancer who dances with Beyoncé. His name is Darius Hickman. And he's, like, famous on TikTok. He's so talented and so good. And day one, he's like, 'Let's walk from one side to the other,' and I went, 'Oh my god.' I'm like, I couldn't even walk well. He's like, 'You need to get into your woman body,' and I was like, 'Okay.' So we started from walking to crawling to then dancing like crazy. And I filmed every rehearsal so that I can show, like, the progress. And you could see me, like, failing and being like, 'Ah,' and he's like, 'Lines.' But then [one] day, I felt so good and was like, “Let's do this. I worked so hard for this.' And even [for] the outfits, like, I was so out of my comfort zone, but we had so much fun, and then my 5-year-old was on set, and I'm wearing those white booty shorts, and I was like, 'Look, Riley, I'm in a diaper.' And he's like, 'You're in a diaper?' He humbles me so fast.”
