Violet Grohl Releases New Song “Cool Buzz”
Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Violet Grohl will her upcoming debut album “Be Sweet To Me” on May 29, 2026 via Auroura Records and Republic Records.
From the album, she released a new song “Cool Buzz” on April 27, 2026.
The song is the fourth single off of the album, following “595”, “THUM”, and “Applefish”.
It was written by Violet Grohl, Justin Raisen, Brad Lauchert, Joe Kennedy, Julio Tavarez, and Joseph P Zizzo. Produced by Justin Raisen and Anthony Paul Lopez.
The track features Justin Raisen on guitar, Joe Kennedy on guitar, Anthony Paul Lopez on drums, and Julio Tavarez on bass.
She has already filmed a music video for the song, directed by Niki Milan Houston, which will be released on May 1, 2026.
Violet Grohl said of the song, “'Cool Buzz' is about poking fun at moral inconsistencies in punk guys who preach progressive politics, but then in their own musical spaces won't let women have a chance.”- The album comprises 11 tracks, produced by Anthony Paul Lopez and Justin Raisen.
On the album, she was inspired by alternative music from the late '80s and early '90s, including Pixies, Soundgarden, Cocteau Twins, and the Breeders.
Violet Grohl said of the album, “There's something so powerful about that period of music, from the messaging to the visuals, it's authentic and raw. Pixies, Soundgarden, Cocteau Twins, The Breeders, PJ Harvey, The Muffs, Björk, Alice in Chains, L7, Juliana Hatfield: I've listened to that stuff since I was a kid.”
Violet Grohl is known as the eldest daughter of American rock band Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl.
She embarks on her headline tour. The tour kicks off at Baby's All Right in Brooklyn, NY on June 4, 2026 and will conclude at The Atlantis in Washington, DC on June 6, 2026.
