  • Rudimental Premieres New Song “Love You More” on BBC Radio 1

  • London-based drum and bass band Rudimental, consisting of Piers Aggett (piano/synthesizer), Kesi Dryden (bass) and Leon 'Locksmith' Rolle (keyboard), premiered a new song “Love You More” on BBC Radio 1's New Music Show with Jack Saunders.

The song is their first new music since their fifth studio album “Rudim3ntal”, which was released last August.
The track features London-based singer-songwriter Samantha Louise Harper as vocals.
It was written by Samantha Louise Harper, Leon Rolle, Piers Aggett, Kesi Dryden, Daniel Traynor, and Karen Poole. Produced by Rudimental, GRADES, and Slim Typical.

Rudimental told Jack Saunders about the song, “This track actually started as a house record. And we was living it for a little while. And one day we thought, let's give it a DnB flip. And then, we switched it up to drum and bass, and then it sort of came to life.”
  • Kesi Dryden said, “It felt like a nice record, but it felt quite chill. And we was looking for a single to come into the summer. They can play at festivals, and it's a bit of throw your hands in the air kind of moment. So I think the DnB flip sort of gave it that extra energy.”

Piers Aggett continued, “I think we kind of used the classic, rudimentary jungle rumble bass sound, and the vocal was really, really like, stood out with one of our ideas, and it was really catchy. And we kind of went more like deeper and emotional, kind of like deep emotional rave summer, through it all together. I don't know it was like a nice mixture of all of our kind of older tunes and kind of push, trying to push it forward too.”

Leon 'Locksmith' Rolle added, “I feel like we've sort of taken a step back in terms of we've been in London a lot more in the last year. And I think looking back to our like original albums and sort of getting influence from our first album again, in a way.”
