Matt Hansen Releases New Song “VISION”
Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Matt Hansen will release his upcoming highly-anticipated debut album “Orchid” on May 15, 2026.
The 18-track album is exceptionally honest and vulnerable, exploring the trials and tribulations that come with a deeply complicated relationship.
Matt Hansen said of the album, “'Orchid' is an album about loving too deeply, losing yourself, finding the courage to leave and learning that healing can make space for something healthier to grow. I think of that fragile kind of love like an orchid. We pour everything into it, believing devotion can keep it alive, until we realize the conditions were never meant for it to bloom.”
From the album, he released a new song “VISION” on April 24, 2026.
The song follows “SOMEWHERE IN BETWEEN” and “SAME TIME”.
It was written by Matt Hansen, Josh Murty, Cate Downey, and Rolland Spreckley. Produced by Josh Murty and German.
He said of the song, “VISION is about trusting you'll find your way again, even when you can't see what's ahead. It's a reminder you'll wake it out the other side.”- Matt Hansen told Melodic Magazine about his music, “A lot of my emotion comes from sound, rather than lyrics. I have always been drawn to sounds more than words. I'm always making the chords and making the vibe and making how it feels first. And then, based off of that, I get a very specific feeling, and I'm like, 'I know what this song is about.'”
He added, “I don’t tend to write poetry first or have that story ready. I can recognize those feelings a little bit better through the music...” - source : Apple Music
