  • Shaboozey Announces New Album “The Outlaw Cherie Lee & Other Western Tales”, Shares New Song “Born To Die”

  • American singer-songwriter Shaboozey has announced his upcoming fourth studio album “The Outlaw Cherie Lee & Other Western Tales” will be released on July 31, 2026 via his record imprint American Dogwood in partnership with EMPIRE.

The new album is a Wild West–themed concept project, meshing country with Americana, hip-hop, and pop.
A trailer for the album narrated by American actor Jamie Foxx.
The album comprises 20 tracks and sis his first full-length since the 2024 album “Where I've Been, Isn't Where I'm Going”.
From the album, he released a new song “Born To Die” on April 24, 2026.
The song is accompanied by a music video, which was directed by Logan Meis of “The .45s” and Shaboozey.
It was written by Sean Cook, Nevin Sastry, Jackson Foote, Josh Murty, Laura Veltz, Whit Kane, Collins Chibueze, and McKay Stevens. Produced by Sean Cook and Nevin Sastry.

Shaboozey said of the song, “This chapter brings you face to face with some of the outlaws from the trailer and the past they can't outrun. Every scar, every choice, every road that led them here. Any ideas on what's coming next? Directed by: “The 45s” Logan Meis & myself.”
  • Shaboozey said of the album, “Where I've Been, Isn't Where I'm Going” was a journal entry. It was me letting the world know who I was as a person and everything I was experiencing at the time. I never expected it to connect the way it did. That album changed my life. But this time, I wanted to show you who I am as an artist and a storyteller.”

He continued, “The Outlaw Cherie Lee is an idea that's been with me for as long as I can remember. Inspired by my love of Westerns and outlaw folk ballads, this was something I owed to myself to make, something bigger than music. I've always wanted to be a writer-and craft a story with so much detail and lore that you couldn't be convinced it hadn't once been real. This became that...”

  • He added, “This project exists as one continuous tale, told through song. At the center is Cherie Lee, a woman willing to abandon everything she once believed to find herself in a world that never made her out to be anything at all. Revenge, redemption, romance, and self-reliance-these are the qualities of Westerns I’ve always been drawn to. They’re built on hard choices that change you, and they still reflect the reality we’re living in today.”

He said, “I built this from the ground up alongside some amazing creatives. From writing and producing to directing, casting, styling, and editing, I poured everything I have into this. This album was a promise I made to myself, one I had to keep, no matter what. It's pushed me further as a creator, an artist, and a storyteller than I've ever gone before.”
