Will Parker Releases Debut Song “Mindless State”
British singer-songwriter Will Parker released his debut song “Mindless State” on April 24, 2026 via Capitol Records.
Sonically, the track blends elements of indie, vintage soul, country and alternative rock. Lyrically, the single is rooted in his own experience of repetitive working life and the mental toll it can take.
It was written by Will Parker and Jules Konieczny. Produced by Jules Oliver.
The track features Jules Oliver on drums, synthesizer, piano, bass, and guitar, Dan Grech-Marguerat on Programming, and Tom Hobden on violin and viola.
The accompanying music video was directed by Jackson Ducasse and filmed in his home town Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire.
Will Parker said of the song, “You can fall into this robotic state. You start to think it’s easier to just stay where you are instead of going after what you really want. This song is about pushing back against that - not letting your dreams fade.”- He added, “Mindless State is a song I wrote about Scunny growing up in a small town, and watching the people around u taking different paths in life. It’s been a crazy year putting so much into writing and balancing working on site in the earlier stages of everything. I wrote mindless state with Jules Oliver down in London.”
