  • ADÉLA Premieres New Song “KGB” on BBC Radio 1

  • Los Angeles-based Slovak singer-songwriter ADÉLA premiered a new song “KGB” on BBC Radio 1's Future Artists with Sian Eleri.

The song is the first single off of her upcoming debut album, which is expected to to be released in 2026 via Capitol Records.
It was written by ADÉLA, Blake Slatkin, Dylan Brady, Ali Tamposi, Billy Walsh, and Harrison Patrick Smith. Produced by Blake Slatkin, Dylan Brady, and The Dare.
The accompanying music video was directed by Rachel Dunkel and filmed in the Los Angeles theatre.
ADÉLA describes the video as, “Growing up in Slovakia, it was impossible to escape the harmful influence of the Soviet Union. 'KGB' and its video are not an endorsement of the organization or their actions, but an acknowledgement of where I'm from. I do not support the Russian government and stand with the people of Ukraine.”

ADÉLA told Sian Eleri about the song, “Honestly, I was listening to a lot of Black Eyed Peas. So I really wanted it to feel kind of silly and be like a get to know me track and be really potent. I feel like it's kind of ignorant in, like the best way it's in your face. And it's the first track off of my debut album, so I'm excited.”
  • She said of working with producer The Dare, “He is the most brilliant producer. Obviously, everyone knows this. But also as a writer, I was just so taken aback by his brilliance. Honestly, I was just like, you have it all figured out. He was amazing. And he's just such a nice human too. And it felt like he was being really personalized with it, which was really special.”

She said of the album, “I really wanted to make this album that I'm making for the girls. Kind of, what you said, like, I was, like, I want, like, a young girl to listen to this and just really relate, because I feel very young, and I am very young, but I also I'm, like, very aware of my youth right now for some reason. I think I'm aware of, like, all the stupid decisions that I'm making. I'm aware of, like, the places in which I'm more mature than, like, the regular girl, because I've been in the industry for a while. And so I really just wanted to be kind of uplifting and, like, descriptive of me and of my friends and of our personalities and lives and of girlhood, kind of.”
