Hard-Fi Releases New Song “Looking For Fun”
British indie rock band Hard-Fi, consisting of Richard Archer (vocals/guitar), Ross Phillips (guitar), Kai Stephens (bass) and Steve Kemp (drums), released a new song “Looking For Fun” on April 17, 2026.
The song is the second single off of their upcoming fourth studio album “Sweating Someone Else's Fever”, following “They Ain't Your Friends”.
The album is set to be released on June 19, 2026 via V2 Records.
The track was inspired by The Clash's 1978 song “(White Man) In Hammersmith Palais”
It was written by Richard Archer and Roland Archer. Produced by Richard Archer and Wolsey White.
The band frontman Richard Archer said of the song, “Looking For Fun' is inspired by the last line on The Clash’s White Man In Hammersmith Palais. It’s about trying to find the joy in life whilst everyone’s trying to kick you in the nuts.”- The new album comprises 11 tracks, featuring guest appearances from Mike Kalle and Krysten Cummings. It is their first album in 15 years, following 2011 album “Killer Sounds”.
The album title was named after an El Salvador saying about not fighting other people's ego-based battles.
Written and recorded throughout 2025 in their synonymous ex-taxi-office-turned studio Cherry Lips, and produced by frontman Richard Archer alongside longtime collaborator Wolsey White. -
