Miley Cyrus & Lainey Wilson Team Up for New Version of “Younger You”
American singer-songwriter Miley Cyrus joined forces with American country music singer-songwriter Lainey Wilson to release a new version of “Younger You” on April 17, 2026.
This marks the second collaboration between Miley Cyrus and Lainey Wilson.
Both singers released Dolly Parton's 1977 classic “Light of a Clear Blue Morning” with Dolly Parton, Queen Latifah, and Reba McEntire to celebrate Dolly's 80th birthday back in January.
The original version of “Younger You” was released to celebrate the 20th anniversary of hit Disney Channel series “Hannah Montana” last month via Walt Disney Records.
The new version will be available on a 7-inch vinyl single on July 24, 2026.
It was written by Miley Cyrus, Michael Pollack, Stefan Johnson, Jordan K. Johnson, Gregory Aldae Hein, and Jon Bellion. Produced by Miley Cyrus, Michael Pollack, and The Monsters & Strangerz.
The track features Matt Pyn on pedal steel guitar, Sara Watkins on fiddle, Kane Richotte on drums, Maxx Morando on percussion, Lee Parindi on Hammond B3, Stephen Musselman on guitar and mandolin, Mason Stoops on guitar, Sara Kawai on harp, and Corbin Jones on bass.- Lainey Wilson said of the song, “If I go back and tell myself one thing it'd be...'Hey younger you, you’re gonna impersonate Hannah Montana all throughout high school, playing every birthday party, fair and festival between here and Louisiana and then one day... you're gonna have a song with the real Hannah Montana.'
