Dean Lewis Releases New Song “Seconds Before The Sunrise”
Australian singer-songwriter Dean Lewis released a brand new song “Seconds Before The Sunrise” on April 17, 2026.
The song is the third release as an independent artist, following “I Am Getting Well” and “Enjoy It While It Lasts”.
The track is accompanied by a music video. As with the previous song “I Am Getting Well”, it was written and produced by Dean Lewis, alongside co-writer Nolan Sipe.
Dean Lewis said of the song, “A few months ago I went to a rehab facility. I learnt so much and also met some of the nicest, incredibly kind people. There was a room called the rock castle room where everyone would hang out, play music, board games, or just talk after the days lectures and lessons. Almost every night a few people would ask me to play the “sunrise” song. Because I’d recently written it and because they understood it just like I did when I wrote it.”- He continued, “Me and 50 other people who had all lost our way, all at various stages of rock bottom. This is a song for people who have lost their way, who feel like giving up, who don’t wanna be here. It’s about holding on because no matter just how DARK it gets the SUN always rises and there is a new opportunity, a new day, so don’t give up, keep moving. It’s called seconds before the sunrise and I hope it gives you some hope.”
