Lucia & The Best Boys Announces New Album “Picking Petals”, Shares New Song “You Look Like Somebody In Love”
Scottish indie rock band Lucia & The Best Boys, consisting of Lucia Fairfull (vocals), Ally Scott (drums) and Christopher Ballantyne (bass) and Adam Campbell (guitar), has announced their upcoming sophomore album “Picking Petals” will be released on July 31, 2026 via Communion Records.

It is their first album in three years, following 2023 debut album “Burning Castles”.
From the album, the band unveiled a new song “You Look Like Somebody In Love” on April 16, 2026.
The song is the second single off of the album, following “Lonely Girl” released back in February.
The track is accompanied by the Sal Redpath-directed music video.
It was written by Lucia Fairfull, Haydn Park-Patterson, and Calum Stewart. Produced by Yves Rothman.
The band lead singer Lucia Fairfull said of the song, “I just wanted to express how much I really do love this song because it feels like a song I've wanted to write since I started writing music and not because it has any great in depth meaning, the complete opposite actually...Writing something that feels increibly pure, upbeat and so directly about love felt freeing...This song is for you and whoever you love and I hope when you listen to it you embody the feeling of what it's like to be around those special people.”
The new album comprises 10 tracks, featuring guest appearances from Lauren Mayberry of CHVRCHES and Abigail Morris of The Last Dinner Party.

Lucia Fairfull said of the album, “Can't find the words to describe my excitement but this album has been my whole world for the last two years and I can't wait to finally share it with you. Extreme amounts of gratitude to my incredible best pals and band, Yves Rothman, Jamie Holmes, Lawrence Rothman, Matt Colton, Communion Music, Bounse MGMT and many more collaborators/friends for helping make this precious thing with me.”
