  • Mulaa Joans Releases New Song “Love Letter”

  • London-based singer-songwriter Mulaa Joans released a new song “Love Letter” on February 27, 2026.

It is her first new music in a year, following “Phone Sex” released last January.
The song received its first play during BBC Radio 1's Future Pop with Maia Beth.
It was written by Poppy Hewitt-Smith, Eddie Allen, Ed Thomas, and Simon Hale. Produced by Eddie Allen, Jonah Stevens, and Steve Fitzmaurice.
The track features Eddie Allen on guitar, Jodi Millner on bass, Jonah Stevens on keyboards, Reuben James on piano, Sam Lewis on guitar, Earl Harvin on drums, along with string players Bruce White, Charlie Brown, Chris Worsey, Ian Burdge, Lucy Wilkins, Marianne Haynes, Meghan Cassidy, Nicholas Bootiman, Reiad Chibah, Stacey Watton, Thomas Gould, and Warren Zielinski.
The accompanying music visualiser was filmed by Joshua Wagstaff.

She said, “Thank you to the incredible band and strings section that made my bedroom writing demo a reality! ”
  • Mulaa Joans told Hunger Magazine about the song, “I wrote it to a YouTube beat in my bedroom and then took it to a session a few days later. I was like, 'Hey, I've written this song, let's put some chords behind it.' I posted it on my private Instagram and someone on my team was like, 'You need to write this properly'. And I was like, 'It's really personal.' When I listen to it back now. I think, 'I actually did that. I did cut someone out of my life that I needed to cut out.' It makes me feel quite strong.”

She will release her upcoming song “Birthday Makeup” on April 24, 2026.
Mulaa Joans describes the song as “heartbreaking and also empowering.”
