Alanna Sterling Returns With New Song “More”
Ottawa-based singer-songwriter Alanna Sterling returned with a new song “More” on April 9, 2026.
The song is their first new music in almost a year, following the 2025 single “Death to the Old Love”.
Blending chill, nostalgic, and moody textures with piano-driven songwriting, the track explores the fragile space between wanting deeper connection and learning to live without certainty of its return.
Alanna Sterling said, “It's me learning to sit in that vulnerability instead of running from it.”
The track was written and produced by Alanna Sterling and Jace Lasek.- Alanna Sterling said of the song, “A song for those who crave something more, the ones with that bottomless void in their hearts that can never be filled no matter how hard you try. I wrote this at 25, reflecting on my past, investigating how the trauma shaped this empty feeling that lingers long after the dark times have passed. Wishing I could go back in time and somehow prevent it or change the past.”
