  • Foo Fighters Releases New Song “Of All People”

  • American rock band Foo Fighters, consisting of Dave Grohl (vocals/guitar), Pat Smear (guitar), Chris Shiflett (guitar), Nate Mendel (bass), Rami Jaffee (keyboards) and Ilan Rubin (drums), released the forth single called “Of All People” from their upcoming twelfth studio album “Your Favorite Toy” on April 10, 2026.

The album is set to be released on April 24, 2026 via Roswell Records and RCA Records.
The band first performed the song at St James' Church, Dingle, Ireland back in February. Their performance aired on Irish RTÉ TV series Other Voices.
The band describes the track as an “early Hüsker Dü-esque rager”.
It was written and produced by Foo Fighters.
  • The band frontman Dave Grohl told The Guardian about the song, “[He wrote it] after bumping into a drug dealer from the Nineties that was getting everyone fucked up on heroin. I hadn't seen them in 30 years, and they're alive, healthy and sober. I was so happy that this person survived, while at the same time, I was devastated, because of all of the people I know that we've lost to exactly that drug.”

He continued, “I was so fucking angry, but at the same time so grateful to see them alive and well. Again, a conversation within myself, feeling so conflicted and divided. When I read the lyrics back, I mentioned them to my therapist: is this survivor's guilt?”

  • The new album comprises 10 tracks, recorded with co-producer Oliver Roman at Dave Grohl's home studio.

Bassist Nate Mendel said of the album, “And honestly the last handful of years have been a difficult period for us, getting punched in the face a couple of times. So there's this rough wobbly defiance to the new album, that, to me, sounds like our band.”
