Marshmello & Thomas Rhett Team Up for New Song “Where We Go”

American DJ Marshmello teamed up with American country music singer-songwriter Thomas Rhett to release a new song “Where We Go” on April 10, 2026.
This marks the first collaboration between Marshmello and Thomas Rhett.
In addition to Thomas Rhett, Marshmello has collaborated with country music musicians such as Kane Brown, Jelly Roll, and Hudson Westbrook so far.
For Marshmello, the song is the follow-up to “Phoenix” with Portland-based rock band Portugal. The Man, which was released last month.
Meanwhile, for Thomas Rhett, the track is his first collaborative single of 2026.
It was written by Marshmello, Charlie Handsome, Mark Holman, Geoff Warburton, and Ryan Hurd. Produced by Marshmello, Charlie Handsome, and Lukas Scott.
The track features James Maddocks on guitar.- Thomas Rhett said of writing song, “Writing with you guys, it's just like, 'No, let's just vibe for a few hours.' We don't have to know what the idea is. That stresses me out. [ In a room full of collaborators,] I can't write by myself. I trust my gut enough. I used to think if it wasn't done in the first day, then it was trashed, like we just gave up on the song. And now I will spend a week getting it right.”
Marshmello said, “If it's not done immediate, then that doesn't mean it's bad.” Thomas Rhett added, “Yeah, as long as the bones are there.” -
