Skye Newman Announces New Project “SE9 Part 2”, Premieres New Song “Woman I Am” on BBC Radio 1
London-based singer-songwriter Skye Newman has announced the second half of her debut project “SE9” titled “SE9 Part 2” will be released on May 29, 2026.
“SE9 Part 2” comprises 8 tracks, produced by Boo and Luis Navidad. The first half “SE9 Part 1”, featuring six songs, was released last October.
Skye Newman said of the project, “I'm so buzzing for you all to finally hear the second half of this project. It's been such a personal journey, and I've put everything I have into this full body of work.”
From the project, she premiered a new song “Woman I Am” on BBC Radio 1's New Music Show with Jack Saunders.
The song is the follow-up to “Walk”, which was released back in February.
It was written by Skye Newman, Boo, and Luis Navidad. Produced by Boo and Luis Navidad. The track features Luis Navidad on piano and bass, and Boo on drums.
The accompanying music video was directed by Connie Dwift.- She said of the song, “The girls in my life are my anchor. They keep me sane, strong, and true to myself. All that I am is made up of little parts of them. This song is for my women because who I am today is shaped by everything they've each taught me. They accept me as I am and lift me up when I need it most. No words can describe how blessed I am to have them all in my life, but I tried my best to put them into a song.”
She added of the video, “Thank you so much to all the incredible women who took part in this very special project. Our director Connie Dwift travelled up and down the country on international woman's day to celebrate these many different wonderful women and their many different wonderful stories. I even got to get my girls involved too.” -
