Iceage Announces New Album “For Love of Grace & the Hereafter”, Shares New Song “Ember”

Danish punk rock band Iceage, consisting of Elias Bender Rønnenfelt (vocals/guitar), Johan Suurballe Wieth (guitar), Dan Kjær Nielsen (drums), Casper Morilla Fernandez (guitar) and Jakob Tvilling Pless (bass), has announced their upcoming sixth studio album “For Love of Grace & the Hereafter” will be released on May 29, 2026 via Mexican Summer.
This marks their first album since the 2021 album “Seek Shelter”.
From the album, the band released a new song “Ember” on April 7, 2026.
The song is the second single off of the album, following “Star” released last month.
It was written and produced by Iceage. The accompanying music video was directed by Ira Rønnenfelt and Iceage.
The band frontman Elias Bender Rønnenfelt said of the song, “The songs needed to be immediate, urgent, raw, and fast. We wanted to try to shed any unnecessary weight. Catching outlets of energy is what excites us the most.”- The new album comprises 12 tracks, which the band recorded and produced with producer Nis Bysted at Silence Studio in Sweden.
Twelve years ago, the band recorded the 2014 album “Plowing Into the Field of Love” as the same studio. It remains the only studio they have revisited throughout their career. -
