  • Wasia Project Premieres New Song “2515” on BBC Radio 1

  • London-based pop duo Wasia Project, consisting of Olivia Hardy (vocals/guitar) and William Gao (keyboards), premiered a new song “2515” on BBC Radio 1's New Music Show with Jack Saunders.

The song is their first single of 2026 and is accompanied by a music visualiser.
It was written by Olivia Hardy and William G Hardy. Produced by St Francis Hotel.
The track features Nate Wicks on drums and Richard Pryce on bass, along with a 12-piece string section.

The duo said of the song, “2515 marks a new chapter in our songwriting - it's colder and darker than anything we've done before. A song fuelled by anger, the sonic mirrors racing thoughts that come with the emotion. With this track, we officially start our journey through night.”

The band lead singer Olivia Hardy told Jack Saunders about the song, “It's icy, it's gritty. It's a new sound for us. I mean, it's obviously a big step up from our previous sound, which is more emotional and quite yearly. I think this was a big step into this kind of ownership and intention. And I think, like, it's quite an isolated song lyrically, but the sonics of it are very euphoric. And we're thinking about live settings and bringing people together with the sonics of it.”
  • She continued, “I mean, it's amazing looking back at lockdown and seeing how far and different it is now. But as well, there's like, this weird sense of connection with everyone. We're more connected than ever, but we're also very isolated. And I think going back to the song, like, it's a very big subject in that song, the feeling of isolation, but also this connected energy.”

William Gao added, “It's just the most amazing feeling, kind of connecting and being with people. And being in spaces and being outside, like, in big groups of people, I think it's incredible. I think it's so important as well. I think it's important for people our age to get together and for us to connect in that way. And I think music is like the most powerful way to do it.”
