Micko & The Mellotronics Releases New Song “Parked Car”

London-based art-punk band Micko & The Mellotronics, consisting of Micko Westmoreland (vocals/guitar), Jon Klein (guitar), Nick Mackay (drums) and Vicky Carroll (bass), will release their upcoming third studio album “The Trinity” on June 12, 2026.
It is their first album in three years, following the 2023 album “Le Vice Anglais”.
From the album, the band released a new song “Parked Car” on March 31, 2026.
The song is the fourth single off of the album, following “Would You Believe It”, “Misery Guts”, and “Proper Job”.
The track tells the story of an illicit affair set in the 1970s, taking its name from the vehicle that facilitated it, exploring emotional territory that the band frontman Micko Westmoreland believes is often neglected by many contemporary male writers.
It was written and produced by Micko Westmoreland. Executive produced by Chris Kimsey.- Micko Westmoreland said of the song, “Many married young. Divorce was taboo and as a result lots of unhappy people resorted to relationships of this kind. The track follows the journey from discreet secret to explicit uncovery. In an affair there are no winners, and the consequences ripple outward, often affecting many. The song examines the shame that comes with being condemned and how the woman so often bears the brunt of the blame.”
